About This Event

A high-level parliamentary discussion titled “Bangladesh at a Crossroads: 18 Months of Interim Government and Elections” will take place at the House of Commons on Monday, 23 February 2026, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in Committee Room 18.

Organised by the Global Center for Democratic Governance, the event will be chaired by Bob Blackman MP.

The session will evaluate the performance of Bangladesh’s interim government over the past eighteen months and assess the prospects and challenges surrounding forthcoming elections. The discussion will focus on democratic governance, accountability, rule of law, and electoral integrity.

The organisers aim to encourage informed and constructive dialogue on Bangladesh’s political trajectory, particularly as the country prepares for future elections amid growing national and international attention.
